Santa Cruz Cathedral - Full Detail
This is similar to the San Diego for its flexibility, but a lot more shank. Because it stays straighter in the horses' mouth, this shank has a quiet action on the horses chin and has more leverage then any of the other shanks in this collection. I use it on broken horses and horses that are a little stiffer in their neck.
I suggest this mouthpiece to only experienced riders because even if it's not extremely severe, it won't serve its purpose. I use it on horses that are already advanced in their training and that need to stay straighter and go forward in their face. I never bump on the horses face when using this mouthpiece. Instead, I hold onto the horse's face and ride him forward with my legs. I think you'll like using this bit on a wiggly horse that doesn't want to stay straight with its shoulders. Price: $350.00
