San Marcos Cathedral - Plain Design
This is similar to the San Diego in shape, but solid. This shank is one of my favorite for showing both the younger and the older horse. I like using this shank combined with any solid mouthpiece when I am riding a horse that is a little bit too "bendy" or when I want to work on getting my horse to move forward into its face and not bend sideways.
I suggest this mouthpiece to only experienced riders because even if it's not extremely severe, it won't serve its purpose. I use it on horses that are already advanced in their training and that need to stay straighter and go forward in their face. I never bump on the horses face when using this mouthpiece. Instead, I hold onto the horse's face and ride him forward with my legs. I think you'll like using this bit on a wiggly horse that doesn't want to stay straight with its shoulders. Price: $300.00
