Veterinarian: Dr John Newcomb

Andrea & Dr. John NewcombAt Fappani Performance Horses, we make sure our horses are treated by one of the best vets in the industry. Dr. John Newcomb of Equine Veterinary Services has spent 20 years in a show horse practice involving primarily reining, jumping and dressage horses. An FEI-certified vet, Newcomb was the USEF reining team veterinarian for the 2002 and 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games. He also serves on the American Quarter Horse Association Research Committee.

John is an amazing man with a huge passion for horses and an unwavering commitment to our training and show program. He is always there for us. In addition to being our vet and friend, his interest and enthusiasm extend to being present at nearly all of our shows. He is there because he personally enjoys reining and being a part of our program during the day, but also watching late night or early morning workouts at all of the major events. We owe a very large part of our success to John's experience and desire to be involved with our customers' horses throughout their training and show career. We can't thank John enough and are very lucky to have him on our team.

Farrier: Arek Boulding

Andrea & ArekArek and his family live north of us in Temecula, CA and have been shoeing for us since 2004. Arek is the type of farrier that really understands horses, how the horses' confirmation affects their particular job. He is quick to see and adapt a shoe to the way a horse moves and develop a better result based on what our concerns and needs are. We work very closely, and together are always discussing and tweaking the way the horses are shoed to fit the way that they need to perform.

We really value the fact that Arek is very open minded to my opinion and willing to try out different things. In addition to working on our horses at the ranch, Arek also travels to most of our bigger shows with us.

Arek and his wife Kelly have a seven year old son, Tanner and are expecting their second son in early December, 2009.

Farrier: Randy Toon

Randy trims all our mares and foals, yearlings and shoes 2 yr olds till they are ready for Arek.
He has worked along side Arek for many years and knows his program very well.
