About 23 Partnership
About Us
23 Partnership began several years ago when Andrea, Tish and longtime friend, Manuel Bonzono teamed up over the interest and shared desire to acquire a first class show prospect and a top notch facility in a very desirable part of the US.
Their ranch in San Marcos has everything that both the Fappani's and the Bonzono's wanted. The location is outstanding, both for training horses and for people with diverse interests. It is close to the city, yet feels secluded, and is near Tish's family-which is always important when you are raising a young family. Both families can be on horseback during the day and at the beach when time permits in the evening and weekends, or touring the pacific coast from a sail boat docked in San Diego.
After years of many successful show horses, they partnered on a young prospect named Big Chex To Cash, as luck would have it, they quickly entered into the business of owning and promoting a hugely popular Palomino Stallion, that has become an important part of both the Fappani and Bonzono families. He is really a Dream Horse for both families. It is a complete joy to have a stallion that has such an outstanding personality, as well as talent to earn over $210,000, and still love being ridden and enjoy being shown. Big Chex's first limited foal crop will compete in 2010, followed by 3 crops of over 100 mares bred.
Although Manuel is a successful stallion owner, breeder and showman in Italy, operating under 23 Quarter Horses, he values the US Reining industry and always maintains several prospects in training with Andrea at all times. It is exciting for both Andrea and Manuel to share their interest in the show horses, showing, and the new Big Chex To Cash offspring during visits several times a year. Often Manuel competes in the Futurity and Derby under the direction of Andrea, and then will take a few weeks to visit the Ranch in San Marcos before heading back to Italy.
The ranch has two main residences; one that Fappani's live in and one that Manuel and his family stay in during their visits.
